In 1995, the name STARWAY succeeded J. Collyns, and the launch of the MINIMOON, WILDMOON, STARFLASH, STARBALL, TL4, QSTROBE, and LASERGUN quickly achieved unprecedented success.
In 1998, we were the first to design full-color packaging for products such as FIREFLY, VEGA, PHOBOS, and CHAMAN. We developed specialized products such as SPECTRUM and JEWEL. Our professional experience as distributors of High End Systems and Varilite, combined with our boldness, enabled us to launch the SERVO COLOR and SERVO SPOT ranges. This was also a turning point: our international distribution network covered more than 50 countries.
In 2003, Arnaud Leschemelle and Bernard Cheramy acquired the company.
Through hard work, we relaunched the French brand STARWAY with a few iconic products: AXIS 250, ArchiKolor, Director 256, LedKolor, WallKolor, Urbankolor, MaxSpot 250, StarFrame, TourKolor, FullKolor, FineKolor, CityKolor, Servo Beam 5R, EventKolor, DataKolor, Servo Color 4K, ParKolor 120, BoxKolor, Servo Spot 15K, StarPanel 3.9, FloodLite 650, and many others.
In 2019, a new milestone was reached with the arrival of DINO, APERTA, followed by LUSSO, MODENA, ParKolor 200, and SOLAR 1050. The implementation of new technologies such as Quickpath, CK Effect, and BC Color System further enhances this new range of projectors.
In 2022, the remarkable launch of the BARACCA at Prolight & Sound marked a major achievement: the first integrated laser source ever built into a beam fixture.
In 2024, the WET (Weather Exterior Technology) range — ALCOR and QUASAR — opens new possibilities to meet market demand thanks to an IP65 rate.
The year 2025 marks a high point with the celebration of Starway's 30th anniversary. Actarus strengthens the range of battery-powered projectors. As for IP65 moving heads, they are complemented by the Superfast WET and Monza WET projectors.
